In natural gas transmission systems, compressor stations maintain stable pressure, and the medium-voltage (MV) motor control system driving the compressors is critical for operational efficiency and safety. TECO’s modular VB-Skid integrates MV drives and a Motor Control Center (MCC), offering plug-and-play capabilities and high environmental resilience. This solution significantly simplifies project implementation and enhances system reliability.
The VB-Skid can control up to three MV motors, with sequential start functions to prevent voltage spikes. Equipped with water-cooled MV drives, it ensures stable operation in high-temperature and dusty environments. The drives feature dynamic speed control, adjusting output according to actual pressure requirements, effectively reducing energy consumption and improving efficiency.
Designed as a pre-assembled platform, the system is factory-tested before delivery, requiring only electrical and piping connections on-site for immediate startup. This approach saves construction time, boosts deployment efficiency, and allows for easy relocation and reuse.
