TECO Exhibits Meal-Delivery Robot and Energy-Saving Commercial Refrigerator at Taipei Food Show

TECO Group showcases smart meal-delivery robot and variable-frequency commercial refrigerator at the 29th Taipei International Food Show (booth No. 106), held in Nangang Exhibition Hall and TWTC Hall 1, June 19-22.


The DC variable-frequency commercial refrigerator, developed by TECO Electric & Machinery, boasts 40% power saving than conventional constant-frequency model, capable of operating at low frequency during off-peak period and at high frequency during peak hours, coupled with rapid tracking of load. Other merits include loop wind current and rapid refrigeration, keeping even temperature inside, plus environment-friendly fluorine-free refrigerant. Moreover, the refrigerator is a smart model, capable of monitoring around-the-clock power consumption and temperatures at various layers, to assure foodstuff safety. It can sound alarm on abnormal data instantly, notifying administrator to summon repair service. In addition, energy management system (EMS) and early-warning service can be carried out, either on single or chain store basis.   


During the opening ceremony for the TECO booth, the meal-delivery robot, dubbed "Miss Mos Burger, performed a dance, demonstrating its agility. In fact, the robot is mounted on an automated guided vehicle (AGV), developed of by TECO, boasting space positioning, barrier avoidance, map editing, and vehicle-control setup interface. It can interact with customs in audio and visual manner via its screen and deliver meal to customers with its inductive arm. It can talk to customers even in an open noisy environment, thanks to a 60-watt speaker at its lower part. Miss Mos Burger will be spotted at Mos Burger outlets in Taiwan soon and even overseas outlets in the future. Moreover, the robot can be custom-made, to provide various other services, including guided tour, security and inspection, and factory works.
