TECO and Brand Ambassador Chen Chieh-Hsien Donate 300 TVs to Support Hualien’s Reconstruction Efforts
Following the
devastating overflow and collapse of the Matai’an Barrier Lake in Hualien at
the end of September, TECO Electric & Machinery Co., Ltd. and its home
appliance ambassador Chen Chieh-Hsien visited
Hualien yesterday (6th) to donate 300 televisionsto the Hualien County Government and the baseball team of Guangfu Junior High School. Thedonation aims to provide practical assistance to affected families and
schools as they work to rebuild their lives.
To avoid
disrupting ongoing reconstruction efforts, Mr. Albert Peng, President of TECO’s Air and
Smart Life Business Group, attended the donation ceremony on behalf of TECO,
together with ambassador Chen Chieh-Hsien. The donation
was accepted on behalf of the county government by the Director-General Chen
Chia Fu, Dept of Social Welfare. Representatives from Guangfu Junior High School, including Director Peng Chih-Chung, Sports Section Chief Yeh Chun-Hao, and members of the school’s baseball
team, also joined the event—symbolizing the united efforts of enterprises,
local communities, and schools in overcoming hardship together.
Mr. Peng
emphasized that TECO will continue to care for and support Hualien’s
reconstruction, embodying the brand’s mission to “Protect Every Taiwanese Home”
through concrete action. Ambassador Chen Chieh-Hsien expressed his
hope that the children can grow and learn in a safe and well-equipped
environment, joining TECO Home Appliances in “together for Hualien, bringing
warmth and care” by transforming love into action.
With a
longstanding commitment to corporate social responsibility, TECO once again demonstrates its dedication to
supporting community rebuilding. Through this joint donation with ambassador
Chen Chieh-Hsien, TECO conveys its determination to stand by Hualien and help
