TECO Electromechanical Engineering Recognized Again: National Archive Administration Building Wins Public Construction Commission Golden Quality Award
The Linkou National Archive Project has been awarded the "Excellent
Quality Awards for Public Construction" at the 24th Public Construction
Commission Golden Quality Award! TECO Group (1504) undertook the
electromechanical engineering for the construction of the Linkou National
Archive. Chairman, Morris Li, stated that for the most important storage
facility in the nation's first building for the collection of valuable cultural
relics and archives, TECO established a special, precise, and stable air
conditioning environment tailored to the needs of various artifacts. Adhering
to the principle of energy saving and carbon reduction, TECO integrated group
resources to deliver innovative technical services for this project, providing
environmental control management capabilities for the future operational phase
of the National Archives.
TECO stated that the Linkou National
Archive is an intelligent building. In terms of electromechanical engineering,
TECO not only applied Building Information Modeling (BIM) for precise
construction but also devised system architecture and various integration
requirements. These include integrating security access, emergency rescue
systems, power and fire systems, as well as the integration of HVAC and ICT
technologies to achieve safety, convenience, energy-saving, and sustainability
goals. TECO also designed a net-zero energy environment for the National
Archive, which includes energy-saving air conditioning and lighting. National
Archive is also equipped with an energy management system that regulates power
demand to achieve the effect of opening new sources of energy and saving energy.
Regarding safety and disaster prevention, measures include layer-by-layer fire
containment to prevent the chimney effect. The consistent temperature- and
humidity-controlled space is more conductive for the valuable archives.
The construction team for the National
Archive project was formed by Feng Yu Construction and TECO, designed and supervised
by Bio-architecture Formosana. Through the concerted efforts and hard work of
the entire construction team, they accomplished this significant national
construction project, which was honored with the "Excellent Quality Awards
for Public Construction" at the 24th Golden Quality Awards for Public
Construction. TECO has extensive past experience with notable electromechanical
engineering achievements in Taiwan, including the Nangang Software Park,
Songshan Cultural and Creative Park, CAL Park, Kinmen Industrial and Business
Park, and the Taipei Nangang Biotechnology Industry Building. As a leading
brand in Taiwan's electromechanical engineering sector, TECO has also recently
ventured into the energy industry, becoming the largest turnkey contractor for
onshore substations in Taiwan's offshore wind power sector, and has experience
in undertaking large-scale cross-national projects, continuously expanding into
the Southeast Asian IDC data center engineering market.
