TECO Covered by S&P Sustainability Year for the Second Straight Year
Following
inclusion in Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) for two consecutive years, TECO
Electric & Machinery has been incorporated, for the second straight year,
into the 2022 Sustainability Yearbook, just publicized by S&P Global,
gaining full marks for the two evaluation items of innovative management and
talent cultivation, best performance among peers in emerging markets.
Based
on the evaluation results of DJSI in 2021, the yearbook assesses the
sustainability performance of over 7,500 major enterprises in 61 industries
worldwide, selecting top 15% in various industries with total scores exceeding
a certain level. TECO's continuing inclusion in the yearbook underscores its
sustainability performance and is a result of its dedication to ESG
(environmental, social, and governance) in recent years.
In
line with its 50% emission reduction goal by 2030, TECO will kick off emission
reduction projects at its production bases worldwide this year, in the hope of
attaining the ultimate target of "carbon neutrality" by 2050, thereby
creating a friendly ESG environment and realizing the corporate vision of
"energy conservation, emission reduction, intelligence, and
automation."
