TECO Group Highlights Integrated Hardware Capability

2017/09/07

TECO Electric & Machinery joined hands with affiliates exhibiting its capability of Industry 4.0 solution during Taipei International Industrial Automation Exhibition 2017, Sept. 6-Sept. 9. The theme of TECO's display was energy conservation and automation, highlighting smart switchboards, monitoring platform for electric machinery equipment, cloud-end energy management system, robotic arm, and rail modules, which underscored not only TECO Group's product horizontal integration capability but also its integrated hardware/software capability.

The smart switchboard on display results from combination of the company's quality air circuit breaker, quality inverter, high-efficiency motor, and the monitoring platform for electric machinery equipment produced by affiliate Tecom, an embodiment of Industry 4.0, facilitating automatic operation and maintenance at factories.

Another affiliate Yatec Engineering showcased the smart energy management system being applied at its Chungli factory premises, which employs IoT and power monitoring technology to boost power efficiency, thereby attaining low carbon emission, energy saving, and energy safety, which paves the way for smart production. The system is estimated to save NT$15 million in power bill and cut carbon emission by 2.2 million tons a year.

TECO robotic arm EtherCAT electric-control solution enables smart production boasting ±0.02mm of high repetitive precision and high flexibility, capable of editing the movement of robotic arm, in sync with visual system.

In response to increased demand for smart automation in the manufacturing industry following the global economic recovery, TECO is marching towards massive customized production and stepping up its development in energy conservation, emission reduction, smart application, and automation, on top of integrated sale of electronic protective relay, motor, and inverter, provision of solution coupling decelerator and high-efficiency motor, and joint pushing of smart motor and smart inverter, in the hope of offering customers the benefit of 3S (safe/saving/smart).
