TECO Electric & Machinery Sdn. Bhd. (formerly known as STE Marketing Sdn. Bhd.) was incorporated in January 1996, and commenced operations in November 1996, as a marketing and trading branch for TYM and TECO products.

The company was accredited for ISO 9001 in February 1999. for quality assurance. The KL Office was established in May 1999, as a commitment to serve the Central and Northern region market.
