With greenhouse-gas effect and PM 2.5 air pollution becoming an increasingly important global issue, major auto production countries have embraced increasingly stringent energy-consumption regulations, as a result of which pure internal combustion engines will face major technological bottleneck in 2020, due to inability to comply with legal requirement for energy consumption. TECO manufactures for contract production permanent-magnet synchronous electric motor with power up to 130 kW (around 174 hp and 25.5 kgm in torque force), applicable in pure electric recreational vehicle, with cruising range of 360 kilometers at full capacity. 666 electric vehicles furnished with TECO motor already hit the road in the first quarter of 2019.

A fleet of 12 12-meter-long pure electric buses furnished with TECO motive motors has hit the road in Taipei, traversing a new 31.5-kilometer route. The bus boasts a cruising range of 260 kilometers at full load or 300 kilometers without passenger.
